WEST CARROLLTON, OH  –  Saturday, October 16th, 2021, at 6pm, West Carrollton will kick off the Rockin’ The River event at Erie Park. This special concert event will honor fallen officers and support the Montgomery County law Enforcement Memorial Association. Just before the headlining band, attendees will look to the sky and watch a tribute to America and our Police as skydivers reverently fly the American Flag and Thin Blue Line Flag into the park.

“We are honored to be part of such a special charity event,” commented John Hart, owner of Start Skydiving, and Founder of Team Fastrax™. “Rockin’ on the River is wonderful way to honor police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We can’t wait to be a part of this exciting day.”

According to the event website, the concert will include live music from Any Way You Want It, a Journey Tribute band. Local favorite, Stranger Band, will be opening with a great set from the 80’s. Add a lineup of mouthwatering food trucks, exclusive bourbon and cigar area, cold brew and drinks for sale, and a pyrotechnic fireworks show and this will be an experience to remember!

According to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Memorial Association website, the non-profit was founded in 2007. Ever since then, they have been fulfilling their mission to take care of their own—by helping the families and coworkers of this Ohio county’s officers tragically killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. An annual memorial ceremony is held to commemorate their shared loss, which features the observance of sacred military and law enforcement traditions and the awarding of college scholarships. But the long-term goal is to build a permanent outdoor memorial—in honor of those whose ultimate sacrifice helped keep their communities safe. It would serve as an immortal tribute to the living—the officers who risk their lives for the people of this county every day.
