Saturday, September 30th, Team Fastrax™ will perform their much anticipated American Flag demonstration jump as part of the Virginia Tech Hokies ACC opener. The No. 12 Hokies face off against the No. 2 Clemson Tigers at Lane Stadium. The game starts at 8 pm, and as part of the opening ceremony, Team Fastrax™ will jump in with their majestic 2,000 sq. ft. American Flag and will also perform an amazing pyrotechnic skydive. The show will be displayed on the scoreboard with the Team’s live air-to-ground video feed, so spectators can enjoy the experience on a whole new level.

John Hart, Owner of Start Skydiving, and Founder of Team Fastrax™ said, “We are excited to perform our American Flag jump at such a momentous game. It’s a great matchup and we can’t wait to see the outcome.”

This performance of Team Fastrax™ is going to be dedicated to Army Sgt. 1st Class Andrew T. Weathers. For more information on Sgt. 1st Class Andrew T. Weathers, visit the Military Times website.

According to the Virginia Tech website, this game will serve as the first top 15 matchup in Blacksburg since 2011, also between the Hokies and the Tigers, and a rematch of last year’s ACC Championship game. Saturday’s game will be the 35th contest in the all-time series between Virginia Tech and Clemson. The Tigers are 21-12-1 all-time against the Hokies in a series that dates back to 1900. This will be the seventh time both teams have faced each other when ranked in the top 25. The Hokies are 1-6 all-time against teams ranked No. 2 in the country. The lone victory was Tech’s 31-7 win over No. 2 Miami on Nov. 1, 2003.

Team Fastrax™ is sponsored by SELECTiON.COM®, a leading provider of criminal background checks and pre-employment screening services. They are the most ambitious professional skydiving team in the world. The team has a roster of more than twenty-nine active members, with a collective of more than 300,000 skydives. Team Fastrax™ has performed exhibition skydives all over the world for audiences large and small as a patriotic display or as a product promotion.
